Building Management Systems (BMS)

In recent years, with the development of computer systems, the possibilities for controlling and safeguarding buildings have increased substantially through building systems, that is, air-conditioning systems, electrical systems, heating and cleaning systems. Remote control of these systems is possible, with both direct-line connections and connections via the Internet. As an example, simple measures can decrease energy peaks for electrical energy users. It is thus possible to lower the purchase price of electrical energy, and there is an example of such a measure paying for itself in 1½ – 2 years.

Building management systems are suitable for big and complex, as well as small and simple, building systems. Powerful equipment for the management of small systems has now come on the market that suits many smaller companies. Emphasis will be placed on the selection of building management systems in accordance with each company’s needs, with the guideline always being efficiency.
